Deadline for AANA Mid-Year Sponsorship Applications

MANA is proud to offer sponsorship to attend AANA’s Mid-Year Assembly for both CRNA and SRNA members.

AANA's Mid-Year Assembly is designed to prepare nurse anesthetists to effectively advocate on Capitol Hill for protecting and advancing CRNA practice and reimbursement.

Attendees will develop professional advocacy skills and healthcare policy understanding that promotes leadership at the national level and in professional practice.

Each sponsored individual will be paired up with an attending MANA CRNA who will serve as mentor and will help coordinate meeting logistics and related extracurricular activities to occur before and during the Mid-Year Assembly.

Sponsors will be reimbursed up to the amount of their sponsorship for meeting expenses. Attendees should be aware that some out of pocket expenses may occur.

The expectations of selected sponsored students:

• Sponsored SRNAs are strongly encouraged to participate in all scheduled sessions during MYA including but not limited to:
• • Educational sessions
  • Report of the AANA President to the members
  • AANA Board of Directors Open Forum
  • Candidate speeches
  • AANA Region breakout meetings
  • AANA Bylaws and Resolutions hearings
  • Other sessions deemed appropriate by the MANA President
• Participate in all scheduled MANA events.
• Attend your respective House of Representative and both US Senator hill visits (pending scheduling conflicts)
• Act in a professional and respectable manner throughout the conference
• Following the meeting, write a short synopsis of your experience attending the Mid-Year Assembly which will be shared with the MANA Board of Directors and may be published in a future issue of the Gas Line. (Include both positive aspects and opportunities to make the attendance and sponsorship process more helpful in the future).
