Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee shall:

-Receive proposed amendments and present them to the Board of Directors and to the membership for consideration
-Ensure the AANA Bylaws Committee is provided with a current copy of the MANA Bylaws on an annual basis

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee shall:

-  Prepare a budget to be approved by the Board of Directors
-  Oversee financial management of the Association

Government Relations Committee

The Government Relations Committee shall:

-  Provide guidance and support to the MANA Board and members on matters pertaining to legislative and regulatory activity affecting the practice of nurse anesthesia
-  Assist in developing mutual respect and assistance between appropriate groups or agencies and MANA

Professional Development Committee

The Professional Development Committee shall:

-  Support current standards of nurse anesthesia by promoting continuing education for MANA members and assisting them in meeting the requirements for recertification
-  Plan the annual fall educational conference, which incorporates the annual business meeting

Special Committees and Roles

AANA Foundation

AANA Foundation State Advocates are CRNAs/nurse anesthesiologists who are AANA members that represent, support, and promote the efforts and activities of the AANA Foundation at the state level both philosophically and financially.

AANA Foundation Resident Advocates serve as a liaison between the Foundation and each resident's respective nurse anesthesia program.  Resident Advocates share information about the Foundation with their resident colleagues including general information, dates and deadlines for Foundation events, scholarships, and awards.
